CEO's Report  | Well a new year is upon us. Hopefully you have all had a great break and are back on board rearing to go! This usually seems to take all of January! However we at the Chamber have plans in place and many new and exciting initiatives about to be launched.
The Wairarapa Innovate Chamber of Commerce will be launched in February with our great friend Nick Rogers from Tui, this is a great opportunity for your employees to meet others and have a fun night out!
We are also working hard to get ready for the launch of the Wairarapa Generate Chamber of Commerce, this is targeted at the 14 - 18 year olds and will be a fantastic opportunity for our future leaders and young entrepreneurs to meet business, and vice versa.
There is much more coming throughout the year that we hope our members will embrace and enjoy. We are looking forward to a great year! We will have challenges to overcome however the Wairarapa Chamber of Commerce expects that 2010 will be a year of greater business opportunities and collaboration throughout the region.
I look forward to catching up with you all very soon. The Business After 5's in February is being hosted by the Wairarapa Times Age and will start the year off with a fun night out. We also have a great business breakfast speaker for February! When we get a fixed date we will let you all know, until then keep an eye on the website! | |

Wairarapa Innovate Chamber Launch! We are extremely excited to be launching the Wairarapa Innovate Chamber of Commerce on the 25th of February 2010. The aim of introducing the Innovate Chamber to our region is to assist the business community through organising networking and business social opportunities for staff, residents new to the region and young business owners who would like to meet others with like minded interests in professional growth within the Wairarapa.

Job Opportunities - Free On-Line
The Wairarapa Chamber Job Opportunities On-line is up and running but we need help with providing job positions to make this an effective and active tool. This area has the highest "hit rate" at the moment within our website.
Many jobs seem to be found by 'who you know'. We would like to ask all our members to start offering the many opportunities available to a wider audience.
You never know who you might attract!
