The company, with a head office in Christchurch and listed on the NZX under the code PGW, was formed in October 2005 through the merger of Pyne Gould Guinness Limited and Wrightson Limited. PGG and Wrightson had a combined history of more than 300 years, dating from 1851 and 1841 respectively.
