Training Ventures recognises the importance of agricultural safety and awareness. We offer practical training with a point of difference. We will come to your farm or workplace anywhere in New Zealand to train small groups or four or more at a time which suits you. This means you will not lose time travelling to attend a course, and because of the almost personal trainer aspect you will learn skills tailored to your requirements – and help to get some of your chores completed – with our trainers showing you how to fell your trees or fence your paddocks.

Steve Gray has been training for 12 years and knows how to make a chainsaw hum, work at full productivity and reduce maintenance costs. Steve also specialises in training in ATV (4 wheel motorbikes); 2 wheel motorbikes, tree felling and health and safety.
Our farming expert, Craig Mulligan, gives lifestylers and farmers up-to-date techniques and special tips on fencing, tractor driving and crutching sheep.
We can also offer equine, agrichemicals, animal health and welfare, horticulture and viticulture options. All these units make part of the NZQA approved Taratahi Certificate in Farm Skills which we can offer for no fees if four or more options are completed. Our other stream of courses which we offer free to anyone in the Wairarapa are business courses – the Certificate in Small Business Management Course is a 36 week course which runs one session of 3 hours a week, usually either Monday evening, Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning. This is a NZQA approved Level 4 course which is essential for any business owner, new or established. It has been running for 6 years and has over 200 graduate business owners.
