Wairarapa Workforce Development Trust is a non profit organisation with the goal " To ensure that the quality and quantity of the region's workforce is not an impediment to the region's economic prosperity."
The Trust is working towards ensuring the labour market needs of all local employers are met so that they can at least maintain their level of activiity and are not hindered in their ability to grow their businesses by labour market issues. In terms of both:
Quality - the right people with the right skills
Quantity - enough people to fill sustainable jobs.
Local employer's opinions are vital for the Trust to target its activity to its primary stakeholder, hence the phrase - " Feeding off your thoughts and responding to your needs". The Trust engages both through forums and one on one, and would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about your employment and skill issues.
